Starting a new job!

So I decided that I need to work more than 3 days a week. I took a job bussing tables at a local Italian restaurant called "iaria's." Today is my first day. It looks like I'll be working Friday and Saturday evenings... not sure on the pay yet. I just went shopping at the value village to buy some new black slacks. I found a really nice pair of ralph laurens for a couple bucks.

Today I was Born

Yes, that's right.. Today is/was my birthday. I turned 25 at 8:51am, but I missed it.. I woke up at 8:15, but fell back asleep promptly. Tonight I will be having dinner with mom, dad and megan at the Rathskeller. Should be a good time, hopefully the weather isn't too bad so we can take a walk afterwards. I received all the usual cards in the mail the past few days, my family is so thoughtful. I feel very grateful.

I'm cleaning the house at the moment due to expected company.. It really needed it. I found out that Greta (the new doggie!) is afraid of drums, but not so much of the vacuum. I also suspect someone was pretty mean to her at some point.. she flinches pretty hard sometimes and can be very skittish. She really is a sweet dog though, I hope her living here works out.

I bought myself a early b-day present yesterday.. a rear fender for my new bike. I was getting pretty tired of all the gunk flying up on my ass when riding in wet weather.

Last night on the way home from dinner Megan and I came across a new friend. We were walking from downtown back to my house and I saw someone take a dog and basically push her onto the street and walk back into their house. I was appauled. The little doggie followed us home and we decided to put her up for the night. After a quick trip to the 24hr walmart for supplies we gave her bath and fed her some food here for when Charlie and Sophie visit.

She really is the sweetest little dog.. and seems to be quite intelligent!

I'll never understand why someone would abandon an animal.
